Mary R. (Comella) O’Gara, 92, devoted mother and homemaker, passed away Thursday September 22, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. O’Gara. Born in Palermo, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosa (Pusateri) Comella; beloved mother of Kenneth L. O’Gara, Denise O. Diorio (Joseph) and Lisa M. O’Gara; |
Loving grandmother of Allesandra (Domenic IV), Francesca (Anthony) and Joseph Jr; loving great-grandmother of Domenic V; and sister of the late Angelina Lettieri, Peter Comella and Anthony “Nino” Comella.
Mary was also employed for Monet Jewelry in her younger years and later worked as a housekeeper at the Greenwood Center, where she retired. She was a woman of faith and was active in her Church, the Zion Gospel Temple.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 28 at 11am in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel; 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting Hours, Tuesday 4-6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Zion Gospel Temple Missionary Fund, 90 Leonard Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.
