Youth Basketball Leagues at Zion Gospel Temple will be offered by age groups. These programs will be an introduction to fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing and shooting for both groups. Skills are introduced and practiced through a games approach. The Zion Gospel Temple Children's Basketball program focuses as much attention on the good sportsmanship of the players, parents and fans as on the basic sport skills.

Sign-ups will be held at the Church a few weeks prior to the first day of the program (dates will be posted); although early sign-ups are and will be acceptable by filling out the online form and/or downloading a form, that is made available through our website, mailing it in and a representative or coach from the ministry will contact you. For all age groups/sessions, the coaches use a proven agenda that will teach and mold the children in both basketball and everyday life-making decisions. The handbook offers basketball strategies and skills which fosters team leadership to promote game growth from week one until awards day. The coaches also provide biblical instruction and principles that the child can utilize and absorb to help guide them through those tough decisions in both school and every day life.

Our vision is to not only teach the fundamentals of basketball and instill keen decision making but to raise leaders for the next generation that have a deep-root in the Word of God which carries Love, Faith and Grace.

I hereby certify that my child is able to participate in these activities, including calisthenics, running, and basketball (unless otherwise listed below). If my child has medical conditions which may be relevant to a physician in the event of an emergency, I have listed them below. In the event an emergency occurs, I may be reached at the telephone numbers listed above. If I cannot be reached within a reasonable period of time, I hereby authorize adult managing personnel to make emergency decisions for my child. If there are any activities I do not want my child to be involved in, I have listed them below.
